Homemade cakes, soups, tarte flambée with a dream view of the Starkenburg. Highly Recommended!

Great view, service on the ball. Toilets unfortunately not so great, unpleasant smells. But a white coffee in a small coffee cup for € 3.60 is too expensive. In principle € 3.60 for some milk foam.

Everything was perfect: the food was tasty, the service was nice, the hygiene concept exemplary.

A beautiful beer garden and super friendly service. We felt right at home. And you fulfilled the Corona measures more than recommended. We would love to come back.

Chocolate cakes without a liquid core. The breading comes off with the schnitzel. But it still tastes good.

I recommend Flammkuchen. Pancake ala pizza with seasonal ingredients 👍

Today was a Brazilian event. Barbecue! The owner is Brazilian. The restaurant is at the foot of the castle in Heppenheim. Nice place with a panoramic view.

After a brisk walk through unprecedented temperatures, it was a great grace to see that the beer garden was open. We could sit in the shade of a beautiful tree on the edge of a wall with a great view. The Radler here is really a pure fruity cool pleasure and is definitely recommended when you have walked up through the scorching sun. The beer is a bit bitter, but that shouldn't be a problem for real beer lovers. The iced coffee is also fine and the staff is friendly.

A really great place. Unfortunately we were there outside of opening hours. But I think a visit up here is always worthwhile.

The Burgschänke is beautifully situated with a great view of Heppenheim. The outdoor area is beautifully designed and invites you to drink beer or wine! The Burgschänke is not recommended for eating, at least not if you expect fancy cuisine or very good German cuisine. We ate schnitzel (too dry), tarte flambee (a good 9 euros for the loveless and somewhat tastelessly executed thing is clearly too expensive!) And salad (quite okay). Conclusion: happy for drinks, definitely not for eating.

Very cozy with great views, either on foot or from a parking lot via relatively steep cobblestones. Nicely landscaped garden with beer garden directly under the castle. You can enjoy delicious food from the small menu under trees or on the wall in the sun. Very friendly service. Reservation worked well in advance.

A lot of room for improvement in the organization of the service. First you wait 10 minutes until you are seated, even though three people are running back and forth in the beer garden. Then nobody comes to take the order. Then the order has not arrived, then the ordered wine does not exist. Tip: Priority 1: Guests are immediately brought to a table Priority 2: The order is accepted. Last but not least, tables should be allocated and orders collected. It can't be that a service person brings a beer to a table and then disappears.

Cozy spot to reward yourself for a hike up to the castle. Nice view from the terrace across the town. Friendly staff and quick service.

Not a great view point, if you want to just chill and have a beer you can come here.

Great views, great food, and great people. Staff is friendly and the food is a good snap shot of the local delicatessen. If you are either hiking the hills and Forrest and or touringthe castle, stop in for a cold brew and a hearty meal.
